Arrest in murder conspiracy probe

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder after a man was hit by a car in Oxford.

The man was seriously injured in the collision in Cuddesdon Way, in the Blackbird Leys area of the city, on Thursday afternoon.

Prior to the crash, the man was involved in an altercation with another man near shops in Blackbird Leys Road.

The injured man was taken to the city's John Radcliffe Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.
